Haute couture (/ˌoʊt kuːˈtʊər/; French pronunciation: [ot ku'tyʁ]; French for "high sewing" or "high dressmaking" or "high fashion") refers to the creation of exclusive custom-fitted clothing. Haute couture is made to order for a specific customer, and it is usually made from high-quality, expensive fabric and sewn with extreme attention to detail and finished by the most experienced and capable seamstresses, often using time-consuming, hand-executed techniques. "Couture" means dressmaking, sewing, or needlework[1] and is also used as a common abbreviation of haute couture and refers to the same thing in spirit.[2] "Haute" means elegant or high. An haute couture garment is made specifically for the wearer’s measurements and body stance.[1]
The above is a reference to the highest and best quality of customized clothing. It is terribly expensive and very few persons get to wear it because of the high cost of production and quality.
To get to Heaven, to be approved for entrance to the Father's House, we need haute courture spiritual quality. Nothing less than perfection in our moral and ethical life will do. Hence our Lord Jesus lived the perfect life for us and offers to us His qualities of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, goodness, gentleness and self-control.
The strange thing about this 'clothing' for heaven is that it is put on us not by our own creation but by our tailor, the Holy Spirit, who according Philippians 1:6 is working on us to make us dressed perfectly in these attributes - "For I am sure that He who started this good work in you will carry it through until it is finished on the day of Christ Jesus" - hence the Holy Spirit dresses up our souls for Heaven in Christ's perfect life. He is the one we need to go to for this high heavenly fashion. He is the one who produces for us the LJPPKFGGS highly fashionable qualities required for not only our entrance into Heaven but for our day to day living in our Lord Jesus. Think of ourselves as being in Him now - and as we 'wear Him' the Holy Spirit causes us to grow into this fashionable heavenly couture.
Yes, we are to clothe ourselves in Christ's perfection but the tailor, the Holy Spirit, is the one who makes these attributes happen in us as we think of ourselves as being safe in Him who lived the perfect life for us. The dynamic is something like this - "I am in Jesus, the Father sees me dressed up in His righteousness and as I am safe in Him the Holy Spirit takes these qualities and makes them more and more apart of my daily life..." The more you think of yourself as in Him, the more gratefully you find yourself living by the Holy Spirit like Him until that day you, I, are perfectly like Him on the Day of Christ Jesus.
We are being prepared for the grand entrance to Heaven and into the New Creation by our divine Tailor who continues to work into us those qualities of righteousness that we wear by grace before the heavenly Father.
